It is a first exhibition of a continous project "Cultural Parallels".
"Thanks to the advanced technologies the world becomes too small. We become similar, cultures mingle and the boundaries dissapear. Though, we are unique because we are different and have our own peculiarities. We can share. The project "Cultural Parallels" is a bridge between the partner cities of Panevėžys, different countries and cultures.
In speaking art language which does not need any interpreters we can learn about each other, enrich our soul and every day routine. By the help of cultural exchange we can see, hear, feel others and show ourselves. We do have a number of things. We have the precious things which have to be preserved, cherished and shared",- said A. Vološkevičius.
For the first parallel "Panevėžys-Daugavpils" the works have been selected in cooperation with Marko Rothko Art Centre in Daugavpils. The exposition works tell about the present and the past.
The exhibition will be opened until April of 2019.
